ENF’s Annual Meeting Announced
On April 7th, the Eagle Nature Foundation, ENF, will be sponsoring its Annual Business Meeting, Award Ceremony, and Fund Raising Luncheon, in the basement of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Apple River, IL. The event starts at 11:00 am with a silent auction, followed by a Pulled Pork Luncheon at 11:30, catered by the Sidetrack Café in Apple River. At 12:30 pm a noisy auction will be followed by the winners of the silent auction and the drawing for a 50/50 raffle. Members of the public are invited to attend this $20 luncheon to learn about the many things that ENF is doing on behalf of the bald eagle and other endangered species.
The Business Meeting will start at 1:00 pm followed at 2:00 pm with a presentation by Chuck Tennessen, Community Organizer for the Driftless Area Conservancy, Dodgeville, WI. One of the main items of business during the business meeting will be the nomination of 3 members to ENF’s Board of Directors. Other business to be considered is how ENF can promote its Million Dollar Campaign to find out what is causing the downward spiral of the bald eagle population along the Mississippi River, so something can be done to reverse this decline. Proceeds from both auctions and the 50/50 raffle will help ENF with its ongoing research and educational programs to help the bald eagle and other endangered species.
Anyone interested in attending this April 7th meeting and enjoying the presentation by Chuck Tennessen, should contact the ENF office for prices and information on attending. They should call 815-594-2306, or write ENF, 300 East Hickory Street, Apple River, IL 61001
