ENF's Annual Meeting Announced
The Eagle Nature Foundation, ENF, will be sponsoring its combination Annual Business Meeting, Award Ceremony and Fund Raising Luncheon on April 1st in the basement of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Apple River, IL. The event starts at 11:00 am with a silent auction, followed by a Swiss Steak Luncheon at 11:30, catered by the Sidetrack Café in Apple River. At 12:30 pm a noisy auction will be followed by the winners of the silent auction and a 50/50 raffle. Members of the public are invited to attend this luncheon to help ENF and learn about the many things that ENF is doing on behalf of the bald eagle and other endangered species.
The Business Meeting will start at 1:00 pm followed at 2:00 pm with a presentation by Ed Cole, Restoration Ecologist with the Natural Land Institute, Rockford, IL. One of the main items of business during the business meeting will be the election of 7 members to the Board of Directors. Other business to be considered is how ENF can promote its Million Dollar Campaign to find out what is causing the downward spiral of the bald eagle population along the Mississippi River so something can be done to reverse this downward spiral. Proceeds from both auctions and the 50/50 raffle will help ENF with its ongoing research and educational programs to help the bald eagle and other endangered species.
