ENF Announces IBED Friday Night Panel
Apple River, IL) Terrence N. Ingram, President of the Eagle Nature Foundation (ENF) has announced some of the names and businesses, or government agencies, of the persons taking part in the 8:00 Friday night, Oct. 10, panel discussion on the "Future of the Missouri River", which is the kick off for International Bald Eagle Days. They are; Larry O'Donnell, President of the Little Blue Watershed Coalition; Steve Krabbe, Watershed Coordinator, Our Missouri Waters-Missouri River Corridor, Department of Natural Resources; Brian Kelly, Supervisory Hydrologist for the U.S. Geological Survey; Mike Odell, Holliday Sand and Gravel; plus a spokesman for the Kansas City Port Authority and a spokesman for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, plus others, and possibly even Missouri Governor, Jay Nixon. Anyone interested in the future of the Missouri River is invited to come and get in on this discussion. There will ample opportunity for questions to each of the speakers on the panel.
All parts of the International Bald Eagle Days, which will be held on Oct. 10-12 at the KCI Expo Center near the Kansas City International Airport, will be open to the public including the tour bus trip on Sunday morning to Squaw Creek National Wildlife Refuge. Advance reservations are only needed for the 6:00 pm Saturday evening banquet and Award Ceremony, which features the President of the American Bird Conservancy, George Fenwick, from Plains, VA speaking on the topic, "Conserving Birds in the 21st Century and ending with a fund raising auction.
The IBED Saturday paper sessions will be filled with papers about our nation's changing bald eagle populations, various counts, studies, and research about what is and has been affecting our bald eagle populations in various states across the nation. Presenters are coming from South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Georgia, Arizona, Minnesota, Illinois and Missouri.
