ENF's Annual Meeting Announced
The Eagle Nature Foundation, ENF, will be sponsoring its Annual Business Meeting with its Award Ceremony and Fund Raising Luncheon on April 2nd at the Severson Dells Nature Center on Montague Road west of Rockford. The event starts at 11:00 am with a silent auction, followed by the luncheon at 11:30, catered by Eichman’s Processing. At 12:30 pm a noisy auction will be followed by a 50/50 raffle. Members of the public are invited to attend this luncheon to help ENF and learn about the many things that ENF is doing on behalf of the bald eagle and other endangered species.
The Business Meeting will start at 1:00 pm followed at 2:00 pm with a presentation by John Longhenry, a local Rockford photographer, who will be sharing many of his nature photographs. One of the main items of business will be the election of 4 members to the Board of Directors. Other business to be considered is how ENF should publicize the downward spiral of the bald eagle population along the Mississippi River so something can be done to reverse this downward spiral. Proceeds from both auctions and the 50/50 raffle will help ENF with its ongoing research and educational programs to help the bald eagle and other endangered species.
